Biblical Principle #7 – Kindness
“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.”
There was a very popular song from the sixties that rang out, “What the world needs now is love, sweet love.” Well, what we see in our world today is the great level of kindness it needs more of. And that can start with us. We can use the example of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the epitome of kindness, and as scripture tells us, be more like Him. But it will take prayer and soul searching on our part. And we’ll learn a lot about that in our session.
Our kindness will very often have a rippling effect on others we may not even meet this side of heaven. But our rewards will come. As Christ’s hands and feet here on this earth, what an opportunity we have to be kind and demonstrate His love for the world to see. What a powerful witness!
“When you carry out acts of kindness you get a wonderful feeling inside. It is as though something inside your body responds and says, yes, this is how I ought to feel.”
