Biblical Principle #5 – Courage
“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.”
We see examples everyday all around us of great levels of courage. Be it a firefighter who runs into a burning building, a solder in Afghanistan laying their life on the line defending our country’s freedom, or a teacher trying in instill in their students the qualities of being a great role model for others. There are physical and philosophical examples of courage that inspire us every day. But what of the courage to stand up for one’s convictions in a sinful and dying world? When friendships, jobs, finances, or even a relationship with family members are on the line, where is our courage level then? In this powerful session you hear our presenters share stories where exemplifying courage took everything they had. Biblical courage is a different concept altogether. When our faith and character is challenged, where do we stand? And for Who do we stand?
We disarm the enemy by professing courage that is not of ourselves.
“Success is never final, failure is never fatal. Its courage that counts.”
