Biblical Principle #14 – Prayer and Meditation
“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”
—Joshua 1:8
When Jesus cleared the temple, He said “My Father’s house is a house of prayer!” (Matthew 21:13) Obviously, prayer is very important to Jesus.
The heart of God the Father is to have a relationship with you. After all, He sent His only Son to give His life for you. (John 3:16). That is the extent to which He pursues you.
The best way we can pursue God is through prayer. We can talk with the Creator of the Universe anytime! Best of all, we can listen as well. We can meditate on His Word to sew it into our hearts to live a life of victory He has promised.
“True prayer is neither a mere mental exercise nor a vocal performance. It is far deeper than that – it is spiritual transaction with the Creator of Heaven and Earth.”
—Charles Spurgeon
